The Order of the Bad Habits

The order was established as a direct disciplinary division of the Benedictine Confraternity (under the valiant leadership and wisdom of Saint Willeic), primarily to enforce Papal law in wayward vassal States by means of removing / nobles of corrupted influence or power. In more dire situations, larger companies of the Brotherhood have been seen marching to battle as “messengers” and “shepherds” with the intention of educating / re-educating pagan or back-slidden nobles.

The Order of the Bad Habits (the colloquial term given to them by fearful Nobles who have strayed from God’s plans) have two very distinct forms of fighting, under guise of Moses, the arms of the Shepherd, or under guise of Gabriel the arms of the Messenger. The use of a shield is strictly forbidden in the martial conduct as it implies that the monk seeks protection from his own hands and devices rather than his faith.

With that in mind, the monk must always clutch his tool of education with both hands, for letting go of his weapon is a sign of weakness in his understanding of the word.
